7 Chrome Extensions for Smart Marketers in 2019 [Make Your Life Easy]

Did you know that there are 4.39 billion people connected to the internet? Out of that 2 billion people use Google Chrome. With this in mind, Google decided to let the users extend the functionality of their beloved browsers by chrome extensions. Google Chrome has a market share of 53.9% which is a huge number to consider for marketers.

As I said, these extensions extend the functionality of Google Chrome and hence help you be more productive and efficient. Hailing from a marketing background, I understand how important my time is. Every minute I spend on marketing is an hour earned. I put the internet to work and I need tools to make this happen.

As the saying goes, “A craftsman is as good as his tools

With that said, let’s begin the list right away.

Chrome is the synonym for browsing, just like Google is the synonym for search. It’s the first preference for browsing the web. I remember watching a video on YouTube where a Microsoft engineer installed Google Chrome since Edge decided to embarrass him live on stage.

Google chrome web store is a huge market place to get your extensions from. It’s a huge market place & be sure to not get over-whelmed & install unnecessary chrome extensions. It will only make your browser heavy, which will only make the webpages load slower and/or slow down the over performance of your PC.

That being said, here’s the list.

#1 Grammarly Chrome extension

Grammarly is by far the best proof-reading tool out there. Trusted by over 5 million students, content marketers & experts across the globe.

Grammarly is a cloud-based proofreading system that’s being nailing since the time of inception. I don’t remember how I came across this tool years ago, but since then Grammarly has been saving my day. Once you install & activate the chrome extension, it will check pretty much everything you type. I’m still waiting for sites where Grammarly doesn’t have your back.

Here’s a quick video that shows how the extension works:

With the help of Grammarly, I am careless about what I type, not in meaning but spelling wise. Grammarly immediately flags it and I get it fixed then and there. Sure, the AI is not perfect every time, 1 out 1000 times it’s correct.

Grammarly is predominantly a free chrome extension, but for better suggestions & to undo advanced grammatical mistakes. The paid version is available at $11.95/mo (if billed annually). If you are a beginner, the free version will do just enough for you.

#2 Hashtest

Hashtags aren’t always needed, but they are the low hanging fruits that bring you an extra inch of traffic & reach from social platforms like Instagram & Twitter.

Hashtags are one of the most effective factors for having successful campaigns on social media. The extension basically checks the quality of the hashtags (in real time) used in the posts made by you on your social media. This comes really handy when you are scheduling posts using various scheduling tools.

Simply, paste the hashtags you’ve decided to include in your posts, and you are good to go. This whole process should not take more than a few seconds. In other words, this chrome extension is more or less like Google trends. It helps you decide which keywords, in this case, the hashtags.

If you rely on social media for your marketing on a day to day basis, Hashtest is a must have chrome extension. But if you don’t do it frequently, you can turn on and off only as and when needed.
